MALAYSIAN GOVERNMENT CONTINUES TO BOLSTER FRANCHISES AT THE MFA 2021

On 1 December 2021, Persatuan Francais Malaysia (MFA) and the Ministry of Domestic Trades and Consumers Affairs (KPDNHEP) had just commenced their 23rd Malaysia Franchise Awards (MFA 2021) alongside 13 award categories to be given to local and international franchisees. The award ceremony was graced by our Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob.

Global Art & Creative Sdn Bhd

Global Art & Creative Sdn Bhd (Global Art) was crowned as the best franchise as they won the “Anugerah Francais Terbaik 2021” award together with “Francaisor Terbaik” and “Inovasi Francais Terbaik”. Big names like Marrybrown, Tealive, Manhattan Fish Market, and 7-Eleven managed to bring home a few awards on their end.

Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri bin Yaakob believes MAF made the right call to appreciate and give recognition to successful franchisees. With this, it motivates other sustainable franchise businesses to put in more effort to compete for this award, which leads to a very competitive environment for the franchise industry.

As he said, “I believe that every success and achievement should be appreciated and recognized in order to encourage franchisees to continue to advance in the field being ventured into.”

Best Franchisee – Cambridge English For Life

At the MAF2021, it was announced that UTEM’s Apaimobile won the “Cabaran Niaga Francais” by “Program Francais Siswa 2021” and they will be a part of the 2021 initiative – “Program Francais Mikro dan Francais Mampu Milik”.

Ministry of Domestic Trades and Consumers Affairs, Dato Sri Alexander Nanta Linggi, Deputy Minister of Domestic Trades and Consumers Affairs, Dato’ Rosol Wahid, Chief Secretary of Domestic Trades and Consumers Affairs, Dato Seri Hasnol Zam Zam and President MFA, Datuk Dr. Radzali Hassan also attended the award ceremony.
