Proton’s new Saga
Proton has unveiled the all-new Saga, a strategically upgraded model designed to boost its competitiveness in the A-segment and highlight the brand’s engineering independence. The latest iteration, a staple in Malaysia’s automotive history, is built on Proton’s in-house Advanced Modular Architecture (AMA) and incorporates over 300 newly developed components.
Modern Performance and Efficiency
The new Saga is powered by a 1.5-litre i-GT 4-cylinder engine, producing 120 hp and 150 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a 4-speed automatic or a CVT transmission, both calibrated for smooth acceleration. Fuel efficiency has significantly improved, achieving as low as $4.9$ litres per $100$ km.
Enhancements include electric power steering and refined chassis tuning, ensuring the sedan maintains Proton’s characteristic driving DNA while offering a more polished experience.
