An abundance of feasts for Chinese New Year at Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur

Imperial Lexis Kuala Lumpur is setting the stage for a sophisticated Lunar New Year 2026, offering a month-long celebration that blends deep-rooted heritage with modern luxury. From February 1 to March 3, the city’s prominent retreat invites guests to mark the Year of the Horse through an extensive selection of culinary journeys, ranging from traditional Cantonese banquets to contemporary Japanese fine dining.

Traditional banquets offer a taste of abundance

The centerpiece of the season is “The Imperial Phoenix: Empress Feast,” a series of three curated set menus designed for significant reunions and corporate hosting. These menus—titled Fortune of Flavours, Blazing Steed Gala, and Flaming Stallion Celebration—feature high-end Cantonese ingredients known for their symbolic value, including abalone, lobster, sea cucumber, and tiger grouper.

Served at Roselle Coffee House and the hotel’s private banquet halls, these feasts are available for lunch and dinner. Prices start from RM2,888 nett per table of 10. Given the meticulous preparation involved, a five-day advance booking is required for banquet halls, while Roselle Coffee House requires 48 hours’ notice.

Diverse buffet options cater to every generation

For those who prefer a varied spread, Roselle Coffee House is hosting the “Echoes of Imperial Spring” buffet series. This includes a dedicated Lunar New Year’s Eve Reunion Dinner on February 16, as well as festive lunches and dinners on the first and second days of the New Year.

Earlier in the month, from February 6 to 15, the “A Dynasty of Imperial Flavours” buffet provides a prelude to the festivities, offering a mix of classic and modern dishes.

  • Reunion Dinner (Feb 16): RM268 nett (Adult)

  • Day 1 & 2 Lunch (Feb 17-18): RM168 nett (Adult)

  • Day 1 & 2 Dinner (Feb 17-18): RM198 nett (Adult)

Japanese artistry and intimate hot pots

UMI Japanese Restaurant provides a refined alternative for the season. Between February 7 and 15, the “UMI Auspicious Artistry” five-course menu showcases premium seafood against the Kuala Lumpur skyline. This is followed by the “UMI Luminous Spring” dinner from February 16 to 18, a Sakura-inspired experience priced at RM388 nett per person.

For a more communal yet intimate feel, UMI also introduces the Imperial Reunion Royale Pot. This luxury prosperity hot pot is layered with abalone, prawns, cod fish collar, and sea cucumber. It is available for smaller groups of two to five people, with prices starting at RM268 nett.

Afternoon tea and festive sips

Feast at FIFTY1 adds an elegant touch to the afternoons with the “Springtime Soirée High Tea.” Available from February 7 to 18, the set features a mix of auspicious savouries and traditional sweets for RM198 nett for two people.

Guests can also toast to the new year with the “LaMos Gin Fizz,” a specialty cocktail featuring Raksasa Hibiscus Gin and mandarin orange syrup. A non-alcoholic version is also available for those preferring a mocktail.

Takeaway prosperity for home celebrations

To facilitate celebrations at home or the office, the hotel offers “Spring Prosperity Yee Sang” takeaways. Available in three variations—Snow Pear and Fruit, Salmon with Crispy Fish Skin, and Australian Abalone—these platters serve four to six people and are available throughout the promotional period.
