Enliven Women Retreat
The recent Enliven Women Retreat concluded with a powerful message of inclusion, healing, and collective empowerment, bringing together women from diverse backgrounds for a transformative experience centered on personal growth, resilience, and meaningful connection. Created as a safe and intentional space for women to reconnect with themselves, the event allowed participants to build authentic community and learn from inspiring female leaders across industries through heartfelt conversations, mindfulness sessions, leadership insights, and transformative breakthrough experiences.
In a significant initiative toward inclusivity and social impact, Enliven Women Retreat welcomed and fully sponsored 22 women from Malaysia’s B40 community, made possible through the generosity of its corporate partners and sponsors. The sponsored participants included single mothers, caregivers, women navigating financial hardship, and women seeking renewed hope and opportunities for personal growth. This effort was backed by corporate partners including Mitraland, Sunway Pyramid, Focus Point Caring Hearts Charity Foundation, Fitline Malaysia, and King’s Park Development.

“Our vision for Enliven was never to create a space only accessible to a privileged few,” said Caleen Chua, founder of Yoga for Mums and Enliven Women. “True empowerment happens when women from different walks of life come together, share stories, and remind one another that every woman deserves to feel seen, valued, and supported.”
The program highlights featured several key segments:
-
A curated transformation workshop led by founder and mindfulness coach Caleen Chua, focused on inner healing, self-awareness, and personal breakthrough.
-
A powerhouse leadership panel featuring Penny Choo, co-founder of BloomThis, alongside Yuen Leng, CFO of Zurich Malaysia, sharing candid insights on leadership, motherhood, resilience, and redefining success.
-
An intimate fireside chat with Malaysian squash legend and world champion Datuk Nicol David, who spoke about mental resilience, purpose beyond achievements, and navigating identity beyond the world stage.
Caleen is established in journeying with women after launching her Mind and Body Transformation program during the pandemic, an online initiative that has impacted over 500 women across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Australia. First inspired by hearing negative stories about postpartum experiences and how mothers struggle to regain self-love and confidence, her 9-week program teaches mindfulness techniques to resolve negative emotions, build a positive outlook, and improve physical health. She pays special attention to mothers due to the common reality of self-neglect while caring for others.

Corporate sponsors and brand partners played a vital role in making the initiative possible, contributing financial support and reinforcing a shared commitment toward community upliftment and women’s empowerment in Malaysia. The B40 women were represented by the Nicol David Organisation and Women of Will, with facilitation provided by the trained counselors and psychologists of social enterprise Thrive Well.
Participants described the retreat as deeply moving and transformational, sharing that the experience gave them renewed confidence, clarity, and a sense of belonging. As conversations around women’s wellbeing and mental health continue to grow globally, Enliven Women Retreat aims to pave the way for more inclusive spaces where women are empowered to thrive holistically. The organization plans to continue expanding its community impact initiatives in future editions, making transformational experiences accessible to women across different socioeconomic backgrounds.
