Malaysia’s most awarded Nyonya F&B chain, Kakatoo F&B Group (operated by LJP Kitchen Sdn Bhd) came to an agreement with Deltus Sdn Bhd on 16th March 2026 to expand its initiatives in culture & hospitality for the Visit Malaysia Year 2026. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed by Joyce Chong, CEO of Kakatoo F&B Group and Sharon Siak, Event Director & Partner of Deltus Sdn Bhd, is poised to create many new & exciting events & industry-related activities such as exhibitions, conferences, and festivals, in relations to hospitality and food services.
As Malaysia welcomes tourists both local and overseas in conjunction with Visit Malaysia Year 2026 (VM2026), the nation is poised to mark a major milestone in the tourism industry. With an ambitious target of attracting 47 million tourists and achieving RM147.1 billion in tourism receipts, VM2026 signals Malaysia’s determination to elevate itself as a premier global destination with the support of many new industry events and activities, such as initiatives through strategic partnerships between Kakatoo & Deltus.
According to Chief Corporate Officer of Kakatoo F&B Group, Sheon Soo Huan, this collaboration is poised to present a pivotal golden opportunity not just to tap into tourist demand, but also to accelerate digitalization and sustainability, the two powerful forces that are reshaping the global tourism landscape.
During the signing ceremony, held at Kakatoo Restaurant @ Quill City Mall, Datuk Yusuf Izahar, Chairman of Kakatoo F&B Group and CP Saw, Co-Founder of Deltus Sdn Bhd also echoed that its first venture in this partnership will be to organize the first ever Short-Term Rental Accommodation Forum & Expo 2026, scheduled to take place on 16th – 17th April 2026 at Hexstar World Exhibition Hall, Empire City, Petaling Jaya. This two-day event is positioned as the premiere B2B event to connect operators, hosts, and industry stakeholders to discuss regulations, property tech, and sustainable growth strategies, in support of VM2026.
