Resorts World Genting (RWG) has joined forces with Tourism Malaysia in a strategic partnership to support Visit Malaysia 2026 (VM2026). The collaboration was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Resorts World Awana, witnessed by YB Dato Sri Tiong King Sing, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture.
The partnership highlights RWG’s commitment to aligning its world-class attractions, hospitality, and sustainability initiatives with the nation’s tourism agenda. The MoU was signed by Spencer Lee, RWG’s Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Public Relations, and Yang Berbahagia Datuk Manoharan Periasamy, Director General of Tourism Malaysia, with senior officials from federal and state agencies in attendance.
A highlight of the event was the exclusive preview of Eufloria, RWG’s 12.5-acre ecotourism and edutourism attraction. Featuring a 3.7-acre greenhouse—the largest in Malaysia—with four themed glasshouses accommodating up to 8,000 visitors, Eufloria blends horticulture, creativity, and conservation storytelling for both local and international visitors. The event also introduced BUNGA 2026, RWG’s inaugural floral festival celebrating Malaysia’s biodiversity, which will debut mid-2026 with an orchid theme and pave the way for the Asia Pacific Orchid Conference (APOC) 2028.

Beyond these flagship initiatives, RWG continues to champion sustainability through its nurseries and farms, which support the resort’s operations while providing educational opportunities for schools and local communities. Combined with experiences like Genting Nature Adventures and guided botanical tours, RWG is positioning itself as a learning-focused and ecologically conscious tourism destination.
Under the MoU, both RWG and Tourism Malaysia will promote ecotourism and edutourism as key pillars of VM2026. This includes hosting familiarization trips, curated programs, and amplifying the campaign across RWG properties and media platforms. Staff engagement will also play a role, with employees wearing VM2026 lapel pins to demonstrate their commitment.
“This MoU marks an important milestone for RWG as we join hands with Tourism Malaysia to support VM2026,” said Spencer Lee. “We are excited to showcase our ecotourism and edutourism offerings, providing enriching experiences for visitors from near and far while celebrating Malaysia’s natural and cultural heritage. Through initiatives like Eufloria and BUNGA 2026, we hope to inspire sustainable travel and accessible learning experiences for all.”

“We are delighted to partner with RWG in championing sustainability, ecotourism, and edutourism as we set the stage for a vibrant and impactful VM2026 campaign,” said Datuk Manoharan Periasamy. “This collaboration reflects our shared vision of showcasing Malaysia’s natural treasures while fostering meaningful connections between visitors and our rich biodiversity. We look forward to working closely with RWG to create experiential travel that inspires both conservation and cultural appreciation.”
As Malaysia prepares to welcome the world for VM2026, the RWG–Tourism Malaysia partnership represents a significant step toward promoting responsible travel, blending the nation’s natural, cultural, and innovative strengths.
