Mydin Mohamed Holdings Berhad (MYDIN) continues its commitment to empowering local entrepreneurs by launching the ‘Bangga Buatan Lokal’ (Proudly Local) initiative in conjunction with the Buy Malaysian Goods Campaign (Kempen Beli Barangan Malaysia) 2024, in collaboration with the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN).
The campaign launch was officiated by the Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, YB Senator Dr. Hajah Fuziah binti Salleh. The campaign features a variety of exciting product promotions and activities aimed at boosting sales and promoting locally-made products.
According to MYDIN’s Managing Director, Datuk Wira (Dr) Haji Ameer Ali Mydin, “At MYDIN, we prioritize selecting local products for food aid boxes used in our corporate social responsibility programs. Additionally, through the MYDIN Prihatin initiative, MYDIN is providing RM500 cash vouchers to 40 small traders as financial assistance for their businesses.”
Adding to the excitement, the ‘Proudly Local’ Sales Carnival will take place from December 19 to 22, 2024, at MYDIN USJ. This event provides an opportunity for local entrepreneurs to set up sales booths to promote and introduce their products to the public.
On December 20, the campaign will also feature the ‘Proudly Local’ Entrepreneurship Seminar, which brings together successful entrepreneurs to share knowledge and experiences with new business owners, helping them remain competitive and become well-informed entrepreneurs.
During the launch event, MYDIN also introduced its new corporate song, Di Mata Dunia (In the Eyes of the World), composed by Amirah Ali, with lyrics by Shah Shamshiri, and performed by renowned local singer Ayu Damit.
The public can visit MYDIN Malaysia’s website, and official social media pages, Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok for more information about the campaign, which runs until December 31, 2024.
