Shanghai Business Media – the first Chinese-language business magazine in Malaysia founded in 1979 celebrated a night of prestige, awarding over 100 enterprises at the ShangHai International Prestige Business Awards 2023 (SHIPBA), who have dedicated their efforts tirelessly in contributing to the development of the business scene in Malaysia.

As the most influential enterprise platform in Malaysia, SHIPBA aimed to commend the achievements and promote the business spirit of outstanding companies. Through stronger standards and verification procedures, SHIPBA is committed to promoting the brand image of Malaysian companies and commending companies for their extraordinary contributions to economic prosperity.
Committed to awarding only the best of the best, SHIPBA adopted rigorous screenings and background checks in its nomination and evaluation process to determine the most deserving candidate in the roster that holds outstanding achievements and their contributions to the economy.
There two main award categories at SHIPBA were namely the First-Class Awards and Grand Achievement Awards, which respectively commended the important contributions of enterprises and entrepreneurs in promoting economic development. Not only that, the SHIPBA trophy production was also inspired by the Chinese Five Elements: metal, wood, water, fire, and earth, which held extraordinary significance and collection value.
The First-Class Awards categories included Signature Outstanding Business, Leading Excellence Business, Emerging Magnificent Business, Innovation Technology Business, Successful Automation Business, Superb Export Business, and Rising Star Business, in recognition of outstanding performance and contributions in the industry.
The Grand Achievement Awards consisted of four categories: Outstanding Entrepreneur of The Year, Young Entrepreneur of The Year, Women Entrepreneur of the Year, and Most Influential Women Entrepreneur, which recognizes elites, leaders and market innovators such as Datin Dr. Winnie Loo (A Cut Above), Dato Alice Choon (Poh Kong Holdings Berhad), Elyna Tan (Paradise (F&B) Malaysia Sdn. Bhd) who play important roles in the development of Malaysian enterprises.
