HELLO THAILAND RETURNS TO STIMULATE MALAYSIAN TOURISTS

Tourism Authority Thailand (TAT) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia collaborated with the Royal Thai Embassy and Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) to organise “Hello Thailand” a consumer fairs and festivals event at Central i-City Mall, Shah Alam, Selangor between 24-27 November 2022.

Hello Thailand was organised to create awareness regarding the various cultures of Thailand through activities and products. Working with tour agent partners, the event aided in stimulating Malaysian tourists and promoted travel in Thailand in various ways by offering attractive promotions and packages.

There were daily stage shows for Muay Thai and two special Thai Traditional Dance Arts, Menorah or Nora, which was added to UNESCO’s prestigious heritage list in December 2021 and the Khon Masked Dance which was added to UNESCO’S list of intangible cultural heritage of humanity in 2018.

Moreover, there was a cooking demonstration for popular Thai cuisine such as Pad Thai, Tom Yam, Som Tum and mango sticky rice. Visitors learned how to make Luk Chub or Mung Bean desserts, Krathongs and Tung Lanna also known as Thai Traditional Lantern.

At the event, there were over 30 stalls selling Thai food and delicacies, Thai massage services and merchandise ranging from jewellery, Thai clothing, gifts, home decor, health and beauty products and more.
