Children of Hope together with Signature Malaysia celebrating an early christmas together.
The children of Rumah Hope received an early Christmas surprise as Signature International Berhad (Signature) unveiled refreshed and revitalized living spaces under its newly strengthened Signature Cares community program. More than just a corporate social responsibility (CSR) project, the initiative is a cornerstone of the Group’s broader ESG commitments, aiming to transform physical spaces into environments that foster comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being for vulnerable children.
In line with Signature’s mission to elevate lives, the transformation went beyond simple renovations. The program delivered a child-centered experience by collaborating with the Children’s Protection Society (CPS) and Makchic. Together, they introduced storytelling, safety education, and emotional development activities, ensuring that the physical makeover was matched by a nurturing and supportive atmosphere.
The event was further brightened by the presence of Signature’s Brand Ambassador, Amelia Henderson, and Signature Brand Celebrity, Diana Danielle. Both spent the afternoon engaging with the children, amplifying the spirit of compassion and community joy.
Over the past several weeks, Signature contributed a comprehensive suite of home and living solutions to the 50 children residing at the home. This included new mattresses and bedding; curtains and towels; essential household appliances, and loose furniture for shared spaces.
These improvements were strategically designed to enhance privacy, safety, and daily living quality. Signature Group CEO Lau Kock Sang shared the inspiration behind the choice of Rumah Hope, “We chose Rumah Hope because of the extraordinary strength of its children and the unwavering dedication of its caregivers. This home has long been a sanctuary of safety, structure, and love for children from challenging backgrounds.”

KS Lau, Group CEO of Signature International Berhad, delivering his speech at the event.
He noted that initial visits revealed a well-maintained home that was beginning to show signs of wear, prompting a design strategy focused on long-term impact. “We saw the opportunity to enhance these rooms in ways that bring greater comfort, privacy, and ease into the children’s daily routines. Better rest, better organization, and a warmer environment directly support their confidence, well-being, and the dreams they dare to imagine,” Lau said.
Rumah Hope Principal Edwin Roch expressed his deep appreciation, noting that the contribution has made a tangible difference in the children’s lives, strengthening the home’s mission to nurture resilient young individuals.
The activation also served as the official launch of the refreshed Signature Cares identity—a structured, purpose-driven umbrella for the Group’s impact initiatives. The framework is built upon four key pillars:
-
Promoting responsible consumption through the repurposing and reuse of materials.
-
Empowering communities by engaging employees, partners, and suppliers.
-
Supporting long-term well-being through safe, comfortable living environments for underprivileged children.
-
Strengthening local collaborations with Malaysian brands and NGOs to build sustainable support networks.
Closing the event, Lau emphasized that the Group’s commitment to these children is ongoing, “Signature Cares strengthens the alignment between our brand promise – Transforming Spaces, Elevating Lives, Touching Hearts – and how we show up for communities,” he added. Signature intends to continue exploring meaningful engagements with Rumah Hope to ensure the children continue to thrive in a safe and resilient environment.
