The World’s Biggest Book Experience has officially returned to Kuala Lumpur, opening its doors at the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre with what it describes as its most accessible prices to date. Running from December 19, 2025, through January 4, 2026, the sale operates daily from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., with free admission and discounts reaching up to 95 percent. Books start from RM3, while globally iconic titles such as Harry Potter are available from RM19.99, reinforcing Big Bad Wolf’s long-standing mission to make reading inclusive and within reach for everyone.

With millions of titles available across children’s literature, young adult fiction, non-fiction, classics, and international bestsellers, the event is positioned as both a major retail destination and a significant cultural draw. As global conversations around screen time, digital wellbeing, and age-appropriate media access continue to intensify, the emphasis on physical reading arrives at a timely moment. The Harry Potter promotion, in particular, reflects this shift by lowering the barrier for families and young readers seeking meaningful, screen-free experiences.

“This is what Big Bad Wolf does best,” said Andrew Yap, Co-Founder of Big Bad Wolf. “By offering books at prices starting from RM3, alongside timeless series like Harry Potter at RM19.99, we’re making sure great stories remain accessible to everyone.”

Now in its 16th year, Big Bad Wolf has evolved into a global reading movement spanning multiple countries, while remaining anchored to a single purpose: nurturing a culture of reading through affordability and scale. “Readers return year after year because they believe in the power of books,” said Jacqueline Ng, Co-Founder of Big Bad Wolf. “That trust is what keeps Big Bad Wolf going.”

Beyond its core offering, the Kuala Lumpur sale features returning-customer rebates, student and teacher perks, cardholder privileges, and RM10 flat-price collections. The event also includes interactive experiences such as the Big Bad Book Stacker Challenge, blind-date-with-a-book selections, and curated discovery zones.

The opening was marked by a storytelling moment led by a young reader, followed by an official ribbon-cutting and a live performance by The Aspiration Orchestra, setting the tone for a large-scale celebration of reading. The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale 2025 is now open, inviting readers to rediscover the joy of books at prices designed to make reading possible for everyone.
