Tesla officially opened its first Experience Center in northern Malaysia at Gurney Plaza on May 8, 2025, marking a key step in the company’s nationwide expansion. Located at the Kelawai entrance of the upscale mall, the center offers the public an opportunity to explore Tesla’s cutting-edge electric vehicle (EV) technology through interactive experiences with the popular Model 3 and the newly launched Model Y.
The Model Y, now recognized as the world’s best-selling vehicle and celebrated for its top-tier safety ratings across four continents, takes the spotlight at the Penang location. To commemorate the launch, Tesla is offering priority test drives of the New Model Y, giving potential customers a firsthand look at the performance and innovation that define the brand.
A sneak peek at the new Tesla Experience Center
As part of the celebration, Tesla is offering limited-time incentives worth up to RM28,000, which include complimentary home charging support and low-interest financing options. These benefits are in line with Tesla’s recently introduced Green Mobility Incentives Program, designed to support like-minded organizations and their employees in adopting EVs for a more sustainable future.
Tesla is committed to strengthening its presence across Malaysia by expanding experience centers, after-sales services, and charging infrastructure. The company currently operates 14 Supercharging stations with 64 Superchargers and 15 Destination Charging locations featuring 70 Wall Connectors. An additional six Supercharging stations are set to launch soon. Customers are also invited to explore Tesla’s ‘Plug and Charge’ experience through free access to Destination Charging locations.
The new Tesla Model Y
The New Model Y (starting at RM195,450 for Rear-Wheel Drive and RM242,450 for Long Range) and the best-selling Model 3 sedan (starting at RM181,000) are now available for test drives.
