Artiste-SingerSongwriter Excella Chong has released her new single called “Earth is Calling” in collaboration with artiste JiN Chen and music producer Takuya Tsurugai. The latest release is a wake-up call for us to open our eyes to how much damage we have done to the ecosystem and how much the Earth is healing from our absence. The “Earth is Calling” song addresses environmental issues and begs the question of “Could this virus be a nature’s way of calling out for help?”
Excella said, “The ‘Earth is Calling’ song is about listening to the voice of mother nature and how we can achieve mutual healing in the process. As everyone struggles to survive during the Covid-19 pandemic, the Earth is healing from our actions by itself. Maybe Covid-19 is nature’s way of reminding us that we must be socially and environmentally conscious as we live in a civilized environment in harmony with nature. Through the song, I want to encourage fellow listeners that if every one of us does our part to persevere, we can heal mother nature together.”
The official music video was launched on 6 February, on Excella Chong’s Youtube Channel, by TOC Production- one of Malaysia’s most renowned music companies. The music video itself was very inspirational as we see the two singers in various locations that truly portrays the beauty of mother nature. It reminds us to do our part in any way, big or small, to help mother nature recover from our mistakes and damages, and to come together as one as we address these environmental issues together. Excella Chong hinted at the release of another single called “Survival” that fans could look forward to.
