BRIGED TENGAH PGA PDRM COMMANDER YDH SAC TUAN MUHAMMAD ACCEPTS VALUABLE DONATIONS FROM MALAYSIA SCOUT CLUB IN ASSOCIATION WITH PROMINENT ASSOCIATIONS & CORP LEADERS AHEAD OF TOTAL LOCKDOWN

Malaysia Scout Club (Kelab Pengakap Malaysia), on 28 May, collectively distributed RM20,000 worth of facemasks, food, water bottles, Haagen Dazs ice cream, hand sanitizers, spray-on sanitizers, and Infrared thermometers to the Royal Malaysia Police (Polis Diraja Malaysia) at the ‘Pasukan Gerakan Am Briged Tengah of Cheras’. The donation was made under the CSR project called “Terima Kasih Frontliner Negara”, towards these police frontliners to ease a little bit of the burden off their shoulders and ensure they are equipped with the necessities to carry out their duties, especially when carrying out roadblocks for long periods of time.

Organizing Chairman, Dr. MK Ho (Chief Strategy Officer of RR Captech Advisory Group Sdn Bhd), led the project as the Malaysia Scout Club and several other prominent associations and corporate leaders carried out this CSR project to acknowledge and appreciate the Royal Malaysian Police frontliners through the close representation of Commander YDH SAC Tuan Muhammad Bin Abdul Halim and Deputy Commander YDH ACP Tuan Chew Tham Soon to supply and contribute relief packages to the Police Frontliners throughout the pandemic. In doing so, the Malaysia Scout Club aims to encourage these heroes to continue protecting the nation and restore peace and safety through their initiatives.

Commander YDH SAC Tuan Muhammad Bin Abdul Halim and Deputy Commander YDH ACP Tuan Chew Tham Soon were happy to receive these donations and thanked the Malaysia Scout Club and their sponsors for their noble deed. “I am remarkably delighted to receive these donations from the Malaysia Scout Club and its sponsors – the Rotary Club of Kepong Kuala Lumpur, the International Strategic Institute (ISI), General Mills Malaysia, and Dfenze HOCL Sanitizer & Disinfectant. The items they have contributed will be well utilized by the frontline officers here at ‘Briged Tengah’.  With this, I hope that everyone keeps taking precautions by following the SOPs set by Government as we are working hard to curb this pandemic,” said Commander YDH SAC Tuan Muhammad Bin Abdul Halim.

Since its establishment in 2013, the Malaysia Scout Club has done numerous CSR projects and will continue to carry out its duties and CSR missions to aid frontliners, government agencies, orphanages, and anyone in need. In the past, they have contributed to various public organizations such as the ambulance, fire brigade, prison, traffic police, etc. They are now considering many other public organizations for future projects. 

The Malaysia Scout Club is directly under the jurisdiction of Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, and is made up of more than 300 members in Malaysia, a majority of them being prominent corporate leaders and founders. The Malaysia Scout Club has been reliable and known for delivering countless CSR projects because of the ample support that these corporate leaders provide them. 

This time around, the Rotary Club of Kepong Kuala Lumpur contributed RM5,000 in face masks, mineral water, and sanitizers, whereas Patrick Siow from General Mills Malaysia sponsored several cartons of delicious Haagen Dazs ice cream, while the International Strategic Institute (ISI) sponsored food items, and Dfenze HOCL Sanitizer & Disinfectant provided them with sanitizers. Representing the Rotary Club of Kepong Kuala Lumpur in the CSR project was Joeanne Ooi (Charter President) and Winson Chan; representatives of International Strategic Institute (ISI) were Dato’ Dr. Gavin Voon (President) and Richa Aurora (Vice President); representing Dfenze HOCL Sanitizer & Disinfectant was Jack Lim (Director).

Dato’ Sri Dr. Chong Lian Foo (JP), Charter President of the Malaysia Scout Club said, “I wish to appeal to the frontliners and the public to continue supporting each other as we fight the pandemic together. We are privileged to draw resources and networks together to be able to contribute to the frontliners who we depend on to protect and lead the nation. We wish that everyone does their part as responsible individuals to respect physical distancing, practice SOP, stay home and be safe.”
