The BrandLaureate SMEs BestBrands Awards 2025 unfolded at The Majestic Hotel, honoring Malaysia’s Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) for their remarkable innovation, resilience, and branding excellence. The event highlighted the critical role SMEs play as engines of economic growth, job creation, and sustainable development.
Held in one of Southeast Asia’s key business hubs, the ceremony reflected The BrandLaureate’s mission to spotlight SMEs not only as national champions but as influential players on the global stage.
In his inspiring keynote, Prof. Dr. KKJohan rallied SMEs to “Step Up, Scale Up, and Soar Up – The Time is Now,” emphasizing the urgency for SMEs to lead with purpose in an ever-evolving landscape. He praised SMEs as the “heartbeat of the economy,” applauding their resilience and innovation in navigating disruption. “Every challenge is a chance, every chance an opportunity—opportunities create champions,” he declared, calling on brands to rise and lead with courage.

The event also celebrated Toastmasters International with the BrandLaureate Premier Award 2025 for Leadership in Public Speaking and Leadership Development, recognizing its 100-year global legacy. Ms Radhi Spear was honored with the BrandLaureate International Brand Personality Award for her impactful leadership in global communication.
Entrepreneurs from diverse sectors received accolades for their visionary leadership and commitment to excellence, including YBhg. Dato Sri Mohd Shamil Ngoh Abdullah and YBhg. Datin Sri Aishah Chong of Village Park Restaurant, named Dynamic Entrepreneurial Couple of the Year – Food & Beverage.
