Kelab Sukan Elektronik Generasi Bijak (GenBijak e-Sports) collaborates with the State Education Departments (JPN) of Kedah, Perak, Putrajaya, and Johor to establish the ‘Generasi e-Sukan Sekolah 2021’ program that will see the involvement of more than 30 thousand students. This program is sponsored by realme Malaysia and has also received full support from the Malaysian e-Sports Federation (MESF) & Ministry of Youth & Sports (KBS).
The ‘Generasi e-Sukan Sekolah 2021’ program is the first to be organized involving four states at once and will take place for six months starting on 6 March 2021 until August 2021. The program is themed ‘Education in Games‘ as the organizers encourage ‘healthy gaming’ and educate students in future career opportunities in the e-Sports industry. The registration for this program is open from 6 February 2021 until 28 February; each participating group that registers must be supervised by a manager, be it parents or teachers who are appointed with full permission by the parents.
A total of 256 groups from primary and secondary school categories for each state will compete. The winner of each group representing their respective schools will compete with the winners from other states, and each participant will receive a state-level e-certificate. The ‘Generasi e-Sukan Sekolah 2021’ aims to provide opportunities and space for students to showcase their talents and be educated e-Sports athletes in the future.
