Bursa Malaysia, TNG Digital, and Affin Hwang Investment Bank have launched e-Trade, the first equities market trading feature within the TNG eWallet. Part of the Gofinance hub, e-Trade aims to simplify stock market investing, making it more accessible for all eWallet users.
This new feature, powered by AFFIN HWANG, allows users to trade stocks directly through their eWallet, offering beginner-friendly tools, educational resources from MyBURSA, and real-time market insights. It enables seamless stock trading and portfolio management, creating a more inclusive and user-friendly investment experience.
Encik Nurjesmi Mohd Nashir, Chief Executive Officer of Affin Hwang Investment Bank Berhad, emphasizing the transformative potential of this initiative, said, “We are delighted to offer retail investors an easy-to-use trading platform with real-time data and responsive customer support. Equipped with a user-friendly interface, e-Trade allows investors to manage their share investment portfolios while conducting other financial transactions within the TNG eWallet ecosystem. The features accessible through e-Trade include online account opening, equities market trading education tailored for beginners, real-time market insights, and proactive customer support.

To incentivise user adoption, e-Trade is offering incentives such as a waived Central Depository System (“CDS”) account opening fee and a reduced brokerage fee of RM3 for equities market trading transactions. Users will also enjoy access to real-time data and quotes. Additionally, AFFIN HWANG will consolidate brokerage fees at the end of each trading day, benefitting investors who execute multiple trades on the same counters and on the same side within a single day, without imposing any platform fee. These measures are intended to lower the entry barriers for new investors, thus, enhancing the affordability of entering the investment market.
