Viu, PCCW’s leading pan-regional streaming platform, is starting the year strong with the launch of Gadis Masa, its latest original series premiering on 23 January. Starring Mira Filzah, Syafiq Kyle, and Tracie Sinidol, the eight-episode drama weaves romance, comedy, and fantasy into a fresh take on love, second chances, and fate.
The story follows Maya, who, after ten years of marriage, finds the spark in her relationship fading. A chance encounter leads her to an umbrella that lets her travel back in time—giving her the opportunity to rewrite her love story. But as she quickly learns, changing the past doesn’t always go as planned.
To celebrate the launch, Viu Malaysia is teaming up with Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral for a unique dining collaboration. From 23 January to 31 March, guests can enjoy the Gadis Masa Destiny Bites Platter for RM35 nett, which comes with 14 days of complimentary Viu Premium access. Viu Premium subscribers and Marriott Bonvoy members also have the chance to attend an exclusive meet-and-greet with the cast, offering fans a deeper connection to the show.
Gadis Masa is written by Syarul Akmal, co-writer of the Viu Original Ijab Kabut, and directed by rising filmmaker Yussuf Yunus, known for his work in music videos and documentaries. Produced by Cinemalaya Studios, the series boasts a stellar cast, reinforcing Viu’s dedication to nurturing local talent and creating stories that resonate with audiences.
New episodes of Gadis Masa drop every Thursday on the Viu app, available on the App Store, Google Play, Huawei App Gallery, and select smart TVs. With this latest addition, Viu continues to strengthen its position in the Malaysian streaming market, bringing fresh and exciting content to its growing audience.
