IOI Properties Group Berhad (IOIPG) launched “IOI Kickstart” as an initiative to provide financial support to entrepreneurs from PropTech, AgriTech, and other green solutions. This ingenious incubation program by IOI Kickstart will be offering RM50,000 to start-ups to use as their working capital and allowing them to occupy the office space in IOI RIO for free. During the incubation period, the initiative attracted more than 40 applications all around Malaysia to pitch their ideas and only the six start-ups will be chosen for the three-year accelerator and collaboration program by IOIPG.
After a detailed evaluation, IOI Kickstart handpicked some of the few start-up companies such as Arus Oil, FESLink, GrabMaid, LinkUp Smart Solutions, Safe-T5, and Tomorrow Data to be part of the IOIPG Projects. On top of that, IOIPG will also provide the selected start-ups with a mentoring program by IOIPG’s C-suite personnel, as well as business opportunities related to IOIPG’s projects.
During the launch of the IOI Kickstart, Chief Executive Officer of IOIPG, Dato’ Voon Tin Yow, stated, “This is how we play our part in building sustainable communities by going beyond providing the physical amenities.”
