The McMillan Global Awards 2022 witnessed local celebrities such as Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza (Malaysian Award-Winning Singer), Maya Karin (Award-Winning Malaysian Actress) Elizabeth Tan (Malaysian actress), Jestinna Kuan (Malaysian Singer) and Joey Leong (Malaysian actress & singer), as well as Hong Kong Artists – Just Cheung, Wiyona Yeung, Ophelia 3 and Eric Lau receiving awards for their achievements and successes in the entertainment sector. The grand event was also graced by Artists – Maryjane Kwong and Kit Lam from Hong Kong. The global prestigious award ceremony was organised by McMillan Woods Global at the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; with the theme “Vol 9”, inspired by the iconic 1953 James Bond novel, with a play on numbers (009), in conjunction with McMillan Global Woods’ 9th year anniversary.

The McM Global Awards 2022 was a manifestation of the commitment of McM Global Woods members worldwide to promote exemplary leadership and recognise the successes of entrepreneurs and leading business visionaries across all industry sectors. The Award honored their overall excellence and great contributions towards global economic development, especially during the difficult pandemic times.

McMillan Woods Global has also been known for its philanthropic initiatives over the years through its ‘McM Cares’ programme and has donated some RM2 million to various charitable causes. This year, McMillan Woods Global aimed at raising funds of over RM500,000 for the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) and local newspaper foundations, namely – Yayasan Sinar Untuk Malaysia, Yayasan Nanyang Press and Yayasan Sin Chew, among others.

“We donate all the net collections from the award event to charity. I personally guarantee that no less than RM100,000 is given to charity each year. That is the reason why contributors are more receptive to the McMillan Woods Global Awards, as we do not keep any surplus to ourselves. Nonetheless, this year, following the pandemic, the bar has been raised to RM500,000,” Dato’ Seri Raymond Liew added.
