The 4th REKA Interiors Exhibition (RiX), one of the most anticipated interior design exhibition in the region was recently held at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 27 – 30 October 2022.
RiX was jointly organised by the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID) and C.I.S as a semi-trade exhibition for industry practitioners including interior designers, product designers, specifiers, trade and business professionals as well as homeowners.
As part of MIID’s REKA Design Week 2022 (RDW) themed “Design Forward – moving past the pandemic and into the future”, RiX has become a platform where audiences can connect with established and recognised interior designers and exhibitors. Besides RiX, RDW’s programme includes the REKA Conference that brings together five local and international interior designers and architects to share their creativity and experience.
RiX’s main objectives are to provide a platform for the Malaysian Interior Design industry players to exhibit its products and services at the exhibition while catering to the ever-increasing market’s need to be well-informed regarding the latest developments in the industry. Additionally, the platform will build upon and strengthen the overall trade, practice and economy.

“RiX is curated by the industry’s leading designers from the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID), and this represents the trade exhibition’s creative platform for the exploration of ideas to meet commercial and residential needs which represent creative and beautiful expressions of unparalleled design solutions. In all, MIID’s role and objectives from RiX platform for the industry, practitioners and the MIID concurrent events held alongside such as the REKA Conference, RiX Forums and other networking sessions will benefit fellow interior designers and industry practitioners. ” said IDr Ooi Boon Seong, Organising Chairman of REKA Design Week 2022 (RDW) and Deputy President of MIID at the Official Opening Ceremony of RiX 2022.
In the same ceremony, Dato’ Vincent Lim – President of C.I.S said “RiX presents an opportunity for exchange and inspiration while showcasing new products and creations launched by various companies. Ultimately, RiX is a special showcase that enables the celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, design thinking and emerging talents. RiX is held concurrently with HOMEDEC – being the iconic home design and interior exhibition aimed at enriching homeowners home shopping experience to a richer level while benefitting those who appreciate design of which they can freely explore at RiX.”
