The Association of Bumiputera Women in Business and Profession (Peniagawati) invites all local food and retail vendors to boost sales at the Glokal Raya Ramadan Bazaar (or Glokal Bazaar Ramadan) during these troubling economic times. Peniagawati President Ybhg. Dato Azlin Ahmad Shaharbi claims that many food and retail vendors, especially in the SME category, have seen a massive reduction in their income as a result of the restrictions imposed by the authorities to curb the pandemic. Many people have also lost their jobs and were forced to become small entrepreneurs to make ends meet.
With this in mind, Peniagawati has chosen to support the Glokal Bazaar Ramadan that is organized by Silarasa Restaurant and Glo Damansara Mall because they believe that it is one of the best platforms for entrepreneurs to sell their products and bounce back financially. This platform will also be of help to over 2000 of the association’s members as well as women entrepreneurs in general. Dato’ Azlin said that Peniagawati strives to continuously embark on effective and impactful programs to develop and empower businesswomen in Malaysia.
Silarasa and Glo Damansara both expressed that they are honored to be working alongside Peniagawati in making the 21-day bazaar a huge success especially in cultivating the spirit of supporting local products and businesses. Mr. Alex Tan, General Manager of Glo Damansara said, “We at Glo recognizes the need to assist and galvanize fellow Malaysians by offering an affordable platform for vendors and traders to ply their trade with minimal concerns as all the facilities are provided.
The Glokal Raya Ramadan Bazaar will be taking place from 19 April to 9 May 2021 and will feature 80 booths that are priced between RM1,500 to RM1,800 per booth for interested participants. Members of Peniagawati will enjoy a special discount on booth rentals.
