Malaysia’s number one animation production company, Les’ Copaque Production Sdn. Bhd recently collaborated with Trip.com and Star Fortress Sdn. Bhd to bring the beloved 3D animated show Upin & Ipin to a live audience through a musical theatre . Directed by theatre director, Siti Rohaya Atan, “Upin & Ipin Musical Theatre- Pin Pin Pom!” will be held on 3 and 4 September 2022 at Plenary Hall, Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
In light of the success of the Upin & Ipin Musical Theatre ten years ago, Les’ Copaque presents a new story whereby Upin & Ipin discover a magical stone in their village and journey through the magical world of Pin Pin Pom. The show also delivers an enthralling experience through the utilisation of the latest technology such as special effects, lighting and LED screens.
“Upin & Ipin Musical Theatre- Pin Pin Pom!”also features the classic favourites like “Gembira Bermain” and brand new renditions such as “Upin & Ipin Berani” and “Pin Pin Pom!”. Accompanying Upin & Ipin in this journey will be their close friends from the series including the bossy Ehsan, the clever Mei Mei, the young entrepreneur Mail, and their Indonesian friend, Susanti. The performance features new characters specially created for the theatre in the form of the new incarnation of Upin & Ipin -‘the magical warriors’ and Nenek Kebayan, the witch.
