The 32nd Malaysian Film Festival (FFM32) presented by the Malaysian National Film Development Corporation (FINAS) celebrated the blood, sweat, and tears of various films at Encore Melaka on 2 December 2022.
Hosted by Awal Ashaari and Sarimah Ibrahim, the 32nd edition of the Malaysian Film Festival is themed Our Films, Our Image, in line with the branding and excellence of local film production that moves progressively in parallel with the development of quality and content with local value identity and succeeds in creating an impact at the local and international levels.
For this edition, FFM introduced three new awards, namely the All-Time Artist Awards, the Best International Film Award, and the Best Short Film Award. The recipents for the big three awards are;
- ALL TIME ARTIST AWARD – MATT SENTOL & SARIMAH IBRAHIM
- BEST INTERNATIONAL FILM JURY AWARD – REALM OF 3 COLORS by PT. MNC Picture, Indonesia
- BEST SHORT FILM – Can You Love Me Most? by Feisk Sdn Bhd
To celebrate the hard work and efforts of Malaysia’s film industry, FINAS generously allocated RM200,000 in cash for all the winners of the 32nd FFM. The winners of each category took home cash prizes ranging from RM5,000 to RM15,000, while the winners of the Artists and Artists of the Age category were awarded wiithan umrah package and RM15,000.
FFM 32 was attended by over 1,400 invitees including 250 candidates and 21 veteran stars from Malaysia and Singapore. The event also featured a line-up of Malaysia’s A-List celebrities; Datuk Zainal Abidin , Siti Nordiana , Azlan & The Typewriter , Ernie Zakri , Marsha Londoh and Hazama Azmi . The presentation of the trophy was presented by Maya Karin , Namron , Faizal Hussein , Zul Ariffin , Ummi Nazeera , Hairul Azreen , Adrian Teh , Ashraf Muslim and many others.
