DISNEY+ HOTSTAR TO LAUNCH IN MALAYSIA ON 1 JUNE WITH OVER 800 FILMS & 18,000 EPISODES INCLUDING LOCAL CONTENT

The Walt Disney Company has finally revealed that the most anticipated streaming service, Disney+ Hotstar, will make its way to Malaysia and will be launching on 1 June 2021 with over 800 films and 18,000 episodes. The streaming platform will allow for users to experience content from iconic entertainment brands, including Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic entertainment series, Asian hits, and more under one roof.

Disney+ Hotstar has also engaged in a series of multi-year agreements with leading Malaysian studios such as Skop Productions, Revolution Media Films, Primeworks Studios, WAU Animation, Act 2 Pictures, Les’ Copaque Production, Red Films and more – to be the exclusive publishers of the blockbusters published by these studios. Interested parties can subscribe to Disney+ Hotstar for RM54.90 for three months or through Astro’s special packages.
