Malaysia’s first unmanned interior product showroom – Yellow Box by HOMA has launched its second unit at Floor Culture, Subang Jaya, offering a wide variety of affordable home decor. The showroom houses over 800 repurposed refurnishing products within a 20-feet used shipping container, earning it the record for the ‘Smallest Self-service Material Showroom’ by the Malaysia Book of Records.
Refurnishing Products
HOMA launched its first showroom earlier this month at Glenmarie, Shah Alam, selling products that are derived from overstock inventories and aging stocks from merchant brands that are refurbished in an effort to save mother nature and encourage a more sustainable environment for the future. They imply unique solutions to their business with their modern-day retail showroom concept, earning them the first place position in the Alibaba Global Startup contest 2021.
Seamless offline-to-online service using QR codes
HOMA has taken an innovative approach to the Yellow Boxes. The facility does not require any employee to be physically present as there are QR codes placed around the showroom that will direct customers to the product info, booking, or customer service support page. Walk-in customers that visit the Yellow Boxes are able to take a good look at the products and get them delivered to their doorsteps; this makes for a seamless offline-to-online process.
