The holiday season is reaching new heights as Resorts World Genting transforms into a vibrant wonderland for “Jom Raya Kaw Kaw 2026.” From March 13 to April 12, 2026, the resort invites families to experience a unique blend of nostalgic pop culture and traditional festivities, headlined by the iconic Care Bears.
Festive magic takes over Kimhua Atrium and Pavilion Hall
At the heart of the celebration, the Kimhua Atrium has been reimagined as a lively gathering point filled with cheerful installations. Fans of the classic franchise can catch Cheer Bear and Grumpy Bear during special Meet and Greet sessions on weekends between March 14 and March 28. To take a piece of the magic home, a dedicated Merchandise Pop Up Booth offers a variety of themed collectibles and keepsakes.
The festivities continue at Pavilion Hall, which features a striking rotating carousel centerpiece adorned with crescent and star motifs. Visitors can enter through a glowing pathway of star-shaped arches, providing the perfect backdrop for festive photos. The area is further brought to life with illuminated arches, large pelita structures, and interactive sand art activities for younger guests.
Interactive workshops and rewarding experiences await shoppers
Resorts World Genting is making the shopping experience more interactive this year through the “Spend and Participate” program. Guests can join Raya Coaster Painting Workshops or capture memories at the Care Bears Digital Photobooth with qualifying purchases.
Additional rewards include:
-
Kurma Sejuta Rasa: Follow SkyAvenue on social media from March 7 to March 20 to redeem a complimentary pack of dates at the Zouk Atrium Information Counter.
-
Syawal Redemption: From March 14 to April 12, tiered spending allows shoppers to redeem exclusive Care Bears Raya packets, enamel pins, mugs, and shopping vouchers.
-
AI Family Portraits: Between March 12 and March 22, diners at Malaysian Food Street or Jom Makan Street Food can create a digital family portrait with a minimum spend of RM50.
Traditional entertainment and CSR initiatives
The spirit of giving remains central to the event. On March 28, a special CSR program will host underprivileged children at Kimhua Atrium for an afternoon of painting, meals, and Care Bear encounters.
Daily entertainment will keep the energy high across SkyAvenue, featuring a lineup that includes the Raya Mana Dance Show, Wayang Kulit, Cak Lempung, and Dikir Barat. From March 20 to March 29, traditional dance performances will also take place at both Kimhua Atrium and Pavilion Hall.
Savor the flavors of the season
No Raya celebration is complete without a feast. Jom Makan SkyAvenue is serving the Setalam Aidilfitri (RM45) featuring ayam percik and nasi minyak until March 23. Meanwhile, Jom Makan Street Food offers Aneka Kerabu and festive drinks like bandung cincau topped with vanilla ice cream. For a modern culinary twist, Trattoria Il Lago is introducing Spaghetti Seafood Assam Pedas, blending local spice with Italian tradition.
Cultural retreats at Resorts World Awana
For those seeking a more traditional experience, Resorts World Awana presents “Riang Raya Kaw Kaw” from March 9 to April 5. Activities include Jawi calligraphy, batik painting, and traditional Malay games.
The resort is also offering “Cuti-Cuti Raya” stay packages starting from RM332 for Genting Rewards Card members. These packages include curated dining experiences and nature-inspired activities such as the Awana Trail and “Junior Little Baker” sessions, making it an ideal highland getaway for the whole family.
