Kuantan, a prominent destination for travelers on the Malaysian East-Coast, is gearing up to host the annual Pesta Kuantan 188 festival, brought to you by Infiniti Indah Sdn. Bhd. On the final day of the festival, an eagerly anticipated free-entry concert awaits attendees featuring astonishing lineup of A-list artists, including Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza, Cakra Khan, Ameng Spring, Aizat Amdan, Aishah Retno, Santesh, and Malaysian actor and comedian Harith Iskander. To add to the magic, there will be a technology display of projection mapping on the towering shaft of the Kuantan 188 Tower.
The Pesta Kuantan 188 aims to promote the unique culture and geography of the area, attracting both locals and international tourists by organizing a diverse range of family-friendly activities that will captivate visitors of all ages such as the Kuantan 188 Challenge: Ada Bran? talent show, cultural performances by Majlis Bandaraya Kuantan, Jabatan Kebudayaan dan Kesenian Negeri, and Setiausaha Kerajaan Negeri, as well as fashion shows, Zumba sessions, and retail booths showcasing handcrafted items and local delicacies from various vendors. Fitness enthusiasts can participate in the Fun Run and Fun Ride, featuring a 5km run alongside a 35 km cycle track. For families, Kids Club activities are available on 30 July 2023, ensuring that children are thoroughly entertained. The activities include a mini petting zoo, kids’ zipline, karaoke competition, bouncy castle, and health screenings for parents.
One of the main highlights is the “Royal Pahang Dragon Boat Regatta 2023,” a first for Kuantan 188. Teams from the Pahang Open and Pahang Closed (open and mixed) divisions will compete in the dragon boat races, vying for the prestigious cup, medals, and cash prizes. The race will start at the Jetty for the Marine Department of Kuantan and culminate in front of Kuantan 188. With 34 teams already confirmed for participation, the event promises to be a riveting spectacle.
