A RECORD OF 230,000 VIEWS DURING THE MCEC CUM MCYEC 2021

During the hybrid event of 11th Malaysia-China Entrepreneurs Conference and the 2nd Malaysia-China Young Entrepreneurs Conference (MCEC and MCYEC 2021) which was organized by Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce, had broken a record of surpassing 230,000 views during the event even with the Covid-19 standard operation procedures.

The President of MCCC, Datuk Tan Yew Sing said “In addition, coupled with the development trend of the Belt and Road Initiative, economic and trade cooperation between Malaysia and China will become closer, and more conducive to achieving mutual benefiting and win-win results, and in turn, make greater contributions to the common development and prosperity of the region.”

As being the guest of honour for the hybrid event, H.E. Ouyang Yujing, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia said “According to Chinese statistics, from January to September this year, it increased by 33.8% and 63.6% respectively. China has been the largest trading partner of Malaysia for 12 consecutive years and the largest source of foreign investment in Malaysia’s manufacturing industry for 5 consecutive years and the largest source of foreign investment in Malaysia’s manufacturing industry for 5 consecutive years.”

The Chief Minister of Selangor, YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin Bin Shari talks about how RCEP in time during the post pandemic as the economy is boosting rapidly as it is recovering. He also mentioned that all enterprises should make the necessary preparations to welcome the RCEP market which covers 2.2 billion people and $26.2 trillion of global output.

“Selangor is also the most developed state in Malaysia and has contributed 24.3% to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in 2020. A large number of businesses and manufactures are based in Selangor and there is a huge potential and room for improvement in the Selangor-China relations.” Amirudin said.

The Vice President of MCCC, Ngan Teng Ye mentioned “RCEP is the world’s largest Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with a market covering almost one-third of the world’s population or 2.2 billion people. The 15 countries within the RCEP alone are generating almost 30% of the global GDP. We are honored to have 4 distinguished guests delivering keynote speeches and special remark, giving our conference participants a clear picture of RCEP framework.”
