Playing the role of the last person in the nomadic tribe of sword-elves, Scían, in the upcoming series – The Witcher: Blood Origin, is none other than the pride of Malaysia, Michelle Yeoh. Scían is a master with the blade and a heart full of pain; a dangerous combo. She embarks on a life-threatening mission to retrieve a stolen sacred sword that was taken from her tribe.
Michelle Yeoh joins Laurence O’Fuarain, who plays the role of Fjall. The character was born into a clan of warriors that were sworn to protect the throne. Almost as emotionally scarred as Scían, Fjall is an outcast to his people and the world around him. In his quest for redemption, Fjall will find himself fighting beside the most unlikely of allies as he carves a path of vengeance across a continent in turmoil.
Blood Origin will be a six-part, live-action limited series and a prequel to the hit Netflix series The Witcher. The series is set in a world that is 1,200 years before the world of The Witcher, a time when the worlds of monsters, men, and elves are merged to become one.
