YB DATO’ SRI ABDUL KARIM LAUNCHED ‘JOM KE SARAWAK’ INTERSTATE WITH 16 ATTRACTIVE DISCOUNTED TOUR PACKAGES

“YB Dato’ Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture Sarawak recently launched a tourism initiative to revive the Sarawak tourism industry on 15th October 2021. Jom Ke Sarawak” (JKS) is an interstate campaign that features 16 different discounted tour packages throughout the Sarawak region. The prices for these tour packages started from RM176 per person for a three-day, two-night stay packages.

“Jom Ke Sarawak” is a ‘buy now, travel later’ is a huge collaboration effort between Sarawak Tourism Board (STB), Sarawak Tourism Federation (STF), Association of Sarawak Inbound Agencies (ASIA) and Shopee Malaysia. It’s made to encourage consumers to travel to Sarawak over the year-end holiday season. Also present at the auspicious event : Mr Hii Chang Kee, (Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Sarawak), Mdm Audry Wan Ulok (President of Sarawak Tourism Federation), Puan Yusfida Hj. Khalid (Deputy CEO, Sarawak Tourism Board), Mr. Philip Yong (President, Association of Sarawak Inbound Agencies), etc.

Now that the borders have reopened, STB Chief Executive Officer, Sharzede Datu Haji Salleh Askor, hopes that consumers would take this golden opportunity and take advantage of the discounted price.

“After what could be described as a tough year, it is finally the right time to reset, refresh and rejuvenate this year end. Sarawak has a lot to offer, varying from adventure to leisure, recreation, gastronomy, heritage, and culture making it the right choice for your next vacation plan,” Sharzede said.

Of course, the safety of the travellers remains the top main priority. As such, strict Covid-19 standard operation procedures (SOP) will be enforced throughout the Sarawak destinations.
