Malaysia made history last night with Manvin Khera’s victory at the Miss Globe 2023 finals held at the Sports Palace in Durrës, Albania. The Kuala Lumpur-based aspiring lawyer managed to triumph over 50 other global beauty queens.
Khera received the crown from the reigning Miss Globe, Anabel Payano who hailed from the Dominican Republic, making her the first Malaysian to win the pageant.
“Every time I fall, I tell myself to get back up and keep going out there. When you fall seven times, you get back up for the eighth time, learn from your failures and keep going. You would become unstoppable and unbeatable. That is why I believe failures are the keys to our successes,” said the Malaysian model, who impressed the judges with her composure and eloquence in the question and answer round.

The pageant had the beauty queens go through various rounds, narrowing down the list of contestants to the Top 5, in which Khera prevailed. She was particularly impressive in the swimsuit round which earned her the Miss Talent title.
Miss Globe 2023 was not her first stint at beauty pageants. Khera, who is also a singer, was the Ratu Wanita Malaya 2022 winner, and she has walked the runway in multiple international fashion shows like the Thailand Fashion Week and the Bali International Fashion Week.
She has also walked for Rizman Ruzaini at the Rizman Ruzaini Cruise 2023 show, the popular Malaysian designer who made waves at the Dubai Fashion Week recently for having the legendary supermodel Naomi Campbell walk his creation.
