Khairul Amin Kamarulzaman, more popularly known as Khairulaming, a well-known food content creator was announced as TikTok Creator of The Year last night during the TikTok Awards 2023 at MITEC Kuala Lumpur. He managed to beat the other nominees which include Boss James, Lawyer Gandhi, Auntie Purple, Ceddy and Sally.
“I would like to thank my mom, my late father, my family, my friends, my teachers, my Sambal Nyet team, TikTok, Tv3 and everyone who has been supporting me throughout the 8 years of my journey as a content creator. I would like to take this opportunity to advise the youth content creators out there, if you are still in school, please stay focused on your study despite of being a content creator as it is very important for you to have skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, manners and common sense, in order to stay relevant in this industry other than just being viral,” said Khairul Aming in his acceptance speech.
Other winners from People’s Choice Awards include Rising Star of the Year: Ikhmal Nour, Popular Creator of the Year: Ryan Bakery, Celebrity of the Year: Aeril Zafrel, Popular Animation Account of the Year: Upin & Ipin, LIVE Creator of the Year: Tigerlabu, and TikTok Shop Creator of the Year: Anas Zahrin.
For Judge’s Pick Awards, the winners are Best of Beauty & Fashion: Shahira Azlan, Best of Education: Sir Asai, Best of Entertainment: Eiqa Maleq, Best of Foodie: Syifa Jamill, Best of Gaming: Sultan Riq and Best of Sports: Khalish.
The TikTok awards night at MITEC was livened up with electrifying performances by esteemed artists like Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza, Ziana Zain, DOLLA, Marsha Milan, Ernie Zakri, Hael Husaini, Siti Nordiana, and Alyph, among others.
This star-studded event hosted by the charismatic trio of Izzue Islam, Sherry Alhadad, and Amelia Henderson also featured a blend of popular Malaysian celebrities and creators, including luminaries like Dato’ Yusof Haslam, Bell Ngasri, Amber Chia, Farah Ann Abdul Hadi, Amir Ahnaf, Fattah Amin, Redza Rosli, and more.
