Get ready for a haunting mystery you can’t miss as local feature film ‘Ada Hantu’ premieres exclusively on Disney+ Hotstar. The film also stars Shiqin Kamal as Bariah, Hairul Azreen as Talha, Elvina Chua as Sasha, and Nafiez Zaidi as Jimmy. ‘Ada Hantu’ also marks Hairul Azreen’s first time as a director on set and as he shares, it came with its challenges.
“Directing a movie is a big responsibility, and one that isn’t easy to take on. Regardless, I was excited to work on Ada Hantu and was grateful to have been given the chance,” said Hairil Azreen.

“When he (Hairul) directs or has comments to make, he’s mindful about the directions that he gives and as actors, that was very encouraging for us,” said Shiqin Kamal. Meanwhile, the other cast members also added that Hairul Azreen was very clear about what he wanted. He knew what his actors were capable of, making for a pleasant experience whilst shooting.

Eerie thrills abound in the film as it follows Aliff (Zahiril Adzim), a budding content creator and skeptic of all things supernatural, who challenges his friends to spend a night in an old, abandoned house – rumored to have been once owned by a Japanese general who had brutally tortured and murdered everyone around him – to prove that ghosts aren’t real. As the night goes on and Aliff loses sight of his friends, he soon realizes that the house is not all that he imagined it to be.
