RHB LAUNCHES FLOOD RELIEF PROGRAM TO AID MALAYSIANS IN CRISIS

RHB Banking Group (RHB), is extending support to customers impacted by the recent floods across Malaysia through its Floo Relief Assistance Program. Available unti 31 January 2024, this initiative provides immediate financial aid and long-term recovery solutions to individuals, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), and micro-SMEs affected by he disaster.

The financial relief options include:

Individual Customers:
Eligible individuals can apply for:

  • Payment Deferment: A six-month deferment (January–June 2025) for Mortgages, Amanah Saham Bumiputera (ASB) Loan/Term Financing-i, Personal Loan/Financing-i, and Hire Purchase/-i facilities.
  • Fee Waivers: Late payment fees and interest/management charges on affected Credit Cards/-i will be waived up to RM500 during the same period. Replacement fees for ATM, Debit Cards/-i, and Credit Cards/-i are also waived.

For SME Customers:
Eligible SMEs not currently under restructuring or rescheduling programs may apply for:

  • Payment Relief: Deferments of up to six months (January–June 2025) for facilities such as Hire Purchase/-i, Term Loan/Financing-i, Overdraft/-i, and Multi Trade Line/-i payments.
  • Disaster Relief Facility (DRF): Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) can access financing of up to RM700,000 at preferential rates to support business recovery.
