F&B Connects’ annual luncheon
F&B Connects celebrated a major milestone at its annual luncheon, highlighting the spirit of collaboration and resilience within the F&B industry. Founder Ivy Hew opened the event with a warm Gong Xi Fa Cai, expressing deep appreciation for the community of partners, friends, and industry pioneers who have supported the journey since its inception. “Whether you’ve been with us from the start or have recently joined, you’re all part of this family,” she remarked.
Looking ahead to 2025, F&B Connects is set to embark on an exciting year focused on digital transformation, leadership development, and new business ventures. Ivy also introduced a new collaboration with the World Youth Achievement Records (WYAR), a platform dedicated to nurturing young F&B leaders. This initiative aims to empower the next generation by providing opportunities for growth in an evolving industry.
The luncheon was a vibrant celebration of community and success, featuring an 8-course feast, a Prosperity Lo-Hei Toss, lively performances by talented youth, and a live band. A highlight of the event was the much-anticipated Lucky Draw. Ivy extended her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of F&B Connects’ journey.

The event also shone a spotlight on rising talent from Mellodate Academy. Young pianist Ian Jay and violinist Zhi Shuen delivered impressive performances, showcasing the dedication and hard work of the academy’s students. WYAR was officially introduced during the luncheon as a platform recognizing young leaders under 40 who are shaping industries and communities. F&B Connects’ partnership with WYAR underscores its commitment to empowering youth and providing well-deserved recognition and opportunities.
The celebration concluded with a special award presentation to Yon, a visionary entrepreneur in Malaysia’s F&B sector. Recognized for successfully managing 210 brands with 558 outlets, his achievement exemplifies the impact of strong leadership in driving industry growth.
