It aims to enhance Malaysia’s reputation as a premier tourist destination while spotlighting the rich diversity of Malaysian cuisine.
The 6th World Top Gourmet Awards ceremony promises an evening of gastronomic delight, featuring categories that honor the outstanding f&b brands. This year’s event highlights Malaysia’s commitment to fostering workforce competencies and innovations as its integral role in the country’s tourism industry.

World Gourmet will be launching training courses in collaboration with the Malaysian Association of Skill Development Education (MASDEA), in promoting initiatives for workforce upskilling and reskilling in particularly for F&B industry
In conjunction with Malaysia’s Tourism year 2026, “Explore Nation” mobile app will be launched as a must-have tool for tourists, offering a range of features and functionalities to promote Malaysia’s tourism industry and enhance the travel experience, enriching both tourists and benefiting local communities.
“We experienced a surge in tourist arrivals last year and continue to receive an influx of international visitors this year,” said YBhg. Datin Rafidah Idris, Senior Director, Domestic and Events Division of Tourism Malaysia. “Malaysia aims to welcome 27.3 million international tourists, generating RM102.7 billion in tourism receipts.”

Since its inception, World Gourmet has presented more than 400 awards and expects to present another 100 deserving awards this year. This year’s event will feature an awards ceremony to honor the outstanding achievements across various categories. Various cultural performances showcasing the vibrant traditional performances reflecting the rich cultural heritage that complements Malaysia’s culinary offering. This event will also be a platform for networking meetings with culinary experts to exchange ideas and knowledge
