Malaysia Basketball Association (MABA) has announced its lineup for the upcoming 31st SEA Games in Hanoi, Vietnam, in the presence of YB Senator Dato’ Sri Ti Lian Ker, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports of Malaysia, and YBhg. Dato’ Paduka Nur Azmi, Chef de Mission of the Malaysian Contingent to the 31st SEA Games Vietnam. The pandemic has heavily affected MABA as many sectors and industries in Malaysia had to comply with the Movement Control Orders that are set by the government. As Malaysia lifts its traveling restrictions, MABA is able to capitalize on this opportunity to continue with its regular training plans for the upcoming SEA Games in Hanoi.

Acknowledging the MABA Men’s Team for securing the first runner up position at the recent Champions Cup in Bali, President of MABA, Dato’ Seri Lee Tian Hock, stated, “These good results show that the men’s team has the capabilities and abilities to match with their regional and ASEAN peers in international arenas. I hope they can continue their fine run and outdo themselves for the upcoming SEA Games by putting up an even better performance.”
Dato’ Seri Lee Tian Hock also added, “As for the women’s team, I truly hope they too will not let their losses in the past SEA Games haunt them. Instead, I wish they can emulate the great success they achieved in the 2015 and 2017 SEA Games for the upcoming games.”
