The Malaysia Fashion, Modeling & Pageant Awards (MFMPA) 2023 held at the Malaysian Tourism Centre (MaTIC), showcased innovation in Malaysia’s fashion, modeling, and pageantry industries. The event was officiated by Tourism Malaysia’s Package Development Deputy Director, Puan Nurushama Abdul Hanan, representing the Director-General.
Beloved Malaysian artists performed while iconic figures graced the catwalks, captivating the audience with their creations. MFMPA’s Founder Dr. Jason Hee, emphasized the commitment to honoring deserving talents while upholding credibility and integrity.
Hee said, “Through strategic partnerships and initiatives, such as enhanced mentorship programs and deeper industry collaborations, the awards aim to propel Malaysian talent to new heights on the global stage, solidifying its role as the pivotal force in shaping the country’s creative landscape. I encourage everyone involved in these industries to join hands and use our creativity to showcase Malaysia to the world. Lets share our stories, inspire others, and invite people from all over to experience the magic of Malaysia.”
Additionally, MFMPA have taken the initiative to include awards for media publications to honor their role in discovering talent within Malaysia’s fashion, modeling, and pageantry sector. The event acted as a symbol of excellence, motivating people to follow their passions and leave a significant mark on the industry. Essentially, the awards symbolized the combined effort and commitment of a diverse group of stakeholders, working together towards excellence, innovation, and inclusivity in Malaysia’s vibrant fashion and entertainment scene.
Among those in the MFMPA organizing committee were Dato Kamil Othman, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Shawn Loh, Datuk Seri Azmam Ujang, Datuk Rashidi Hasbullah, Dato’ Lawrence Chan, Datin Winnie Loo, Amber Chia, Carrie Lee, Winnie Kok, Datin Maylene Yong, Teresa Dian Chew, Carol Lee, and Dato Nancie Foo.
