The annual Chinese New Year dinner organized by the Malaysia Chinese Women Entrepreneurs Association (MCWEA) convened entrepreneurs from diverse business associations. Held at Aurora Cafe in Medan Imbi, Kuala Lumpur, the event was officiated by Tourism Malaysia’s Director-General, Manoharan Periasamy, and provided attendees  a delightful buffet while engaging in networking opportunities.

Datin Seri Jessie Wong, the national president of MCWEA, highlighted that the dinner coincided with International Women’s Day on March 8. She expressed gratitude for being part of such a vibrant community, emphasizing MCWEA’s role as a platform for women to exchange visions and ideas.

Wong said, “I am committed to building upon the strong foundation laid by my predecessors and guiding MCWEA towards even greater heights. Our vision to be one of the leading associations for women entrepreneurs in Malaysia and beyond remains steadfast, and I am confident that together, we can achieve this goal.”

Wong also expressed her sincere desire to uphold the legacy of MCWEA’s founder, Lady Puan Sri Dr. Susan Cheah, who remains an enduring source of inspiration, calling for unity in empowering women and contributing to the nation’s progress through entrepreneurship.

Headquartered in Kuala Lumpur, MCWEA is an independent organization comprising forward-thinking women entrepreneurs. Established by Cheah in 2011, the association unites accomplished women from various industries across the region.
