With over 30 years of incorporation, SME Association of Malaysia has consistently championed initiatives that empower Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to navigate evolving challenges and seize opportunities. SME Association focuses on building resilience through comprehensive training programs, technology adoption, and digital transformation initiatives, helping SMEs adapt to disruptions such as global supply chain issues, climate change, and pandemics.
“This collaboration is no longer just an option; it is a necessity. The challenges SMEs face are complex and multifaceted, too great for any one organization or group to tackle alone. Business associations, NGOs, government bodies, civil servants, and state and local authorities must unite in purpose and action.” said Chin Chee Seong National President of SME Association of Malaysia.

With the strength of 17 SME branch associations nationwide, the SME Association of Malaysia stands as a robust and far-reaching network. This nationwide presence allows the Association to connect directly with SMEs at the grassroots level, providing tailored support, addressing their challenges, and ensuring that every SME, regardless of size or location, has access to the resources and opportunities needed to grow.
Chin hopes that by empowering the SMEs, it can strengthen the middle class, reduce income inequality, and position Malaysia as a competitive, inclusive, and innovative nation on the global stage. This vision can only be achieved through mutual respect, trust, and collaboration among all stakeholders. SME Association pledges its unwavering support to work hand-in-hand with the government, NGOs, and local authorities to drive Malaysia forward.

2025 SME CNY & Installation Dinner Organising Chairperson Calvinn Tay in his welcome speech explained the theme, “Rise Together To Transform Tomorrow”, embodies the essence of unity that the new team practices. At the dinner, invitees were treated to a lion dance, cultural and song performances, musical entertainment, and lucky draws alongside corporate video screenings by event sponsors.
