Esports Business Network (EBN) and Prime Sports International (PSI) jointly launched the University e-League (UEL), a nationwide collegiate esports league. The tournament will feature the most exciting and coveted game titles including Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, League of Legends, League of Legends: Wild Rift, and Valorant.
Additionally, UEL offers a practical route for esports enthusiasts to venture and develop a professional career in esports. The partnership between PSI and EBN offers valuable avenues for students such as internship programs, workshops and on-the-job experiences within their organizations.
Adrian Gaffor, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Esports Business Network (EBN) added “The launch of UEL is a testament to our wider mission of empowering students with valuable experiences not just through competition, but also career-developing opportunities within various facets of the esports ecosystem through partnered programs. It is exciting to pave the way for the future of tertiary competition while developing an ecosystem for camaraderie and teamwork.”
The UEL is set to take place from 4 July to 12 September 2021, where they are expecting participation from over 300 esports teams from public and private universities across Malaysia for a combined prize pool of RM 20,000. Interested parties can submit their registration on the official website at http://www.universityeleague.com by 14 June 2021 to guarantee their spot in the inaugural tournament.
