Berjaya Air introduced the world’s first ATR 72-600 Business Class Highline.

Berjaya Air has marked a defining milestone in regional aviation with the introduction of the world’s first ATR 72-600 configured with a bespoke Business Class Highline cabin, signaling a strategic shift in how short-haul travel is positioned across Southeast Asia. Unveiled at an exclusive route event in Kuala Lumpur in mid-December, the aircraft represents a bold step forward in the airline’s ambition to deliver premium experiences without the excess traditionally associated with luxury travel.

The newly introduced 26-seat Business Class Highline cabin has been purposefully designed to balance refinement with practicality. Featuring sculpted seating, generous legroom, and a private-cabin ambiance, the configuration elevates the onboard experience while remaining accessible to a wider segment of regional travelers. Enhanced comfort, coupled with a calm and thoughtfully curated in-flight environment, positions the aircraft as a new benchmark for short-haul travel within the turboprop category.

Group CEO of Berjaya Land Berhad, Syed Ali Shahul Hameed, described the launch as a pivotal moment for the group, saying, “The introduction of the world’s first ATR 72-600 Business Class Highline is a defining moment not only for Berjaya Air, but for the entire Berjaya Group. The aircraft reveal was complemented by a collaborative showcase with Berjaya Hospitality Group, offering guests curated travel and stay privileges across the group’s international portfolio of hotels and resorts. Limited-time promotional packages, curated stay-and-fly offerings, and exclusive hospitality privileges reinforced the group’s integrated approach to travel, leisure, and lifestyle experiences.
