61ST ASIA PACIFIC FILM FESTIVAL SET TO SHINE IN MALAYSIA WITH FILM SCREENINGS, AWARDS, AND CULTURAL EXCHANGE

The 61st Asia Pacific Film Festival (APFF61) is set to take place from 29th November to 1st December 2024 at the Wyndham Ion Majestic Hotel, Genting Highlands, Malaysia. Organized by the Malaysian Film Producers Association (PFM), Lomo Pictures, NCT Group, and the Asia-Pacific International Arts Festival, this exciting three-day event will feature film screenings, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, offering valuable insights into the film industry and fostering collaboration within the Asia-Pacific film community.

As one of the oldest and most prestigious film festivals in the region, APFF, founded in 1953, serves as a significant platform for showcasing the best in cinematic talent from across the Asia-Pacific. The festival promotes cultural exchange, artistic expression, and economic cooperation, drawing filmmakers, artists, and industry professionals from various countries.

This year’s festival will open with the Malaysian horror film Indera, starring Shaheizy Sam, Azira Shafinaz, and Samara Kenzo. The highlight of the event will be the APFF61 Awards Ceremony, which will recognize outstanding films, performances, and contributions to the industry. Film enthusiasts, aspiring filmmakers, and media representatives are invited to attend this prestigious cultural event, continuing APFF’s legacy of celebrating cinematic excellence in the Asia-Pacific region.
