The National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS) has taken note of the COVID-19 infection issues and rumors surrounding a production company during filming. They claimed that the Licensing Division Enforcement Unit and Enforcement Officers of FINAS are set to do a full investigation on this matter before taking further actions in accordance with the national legal system.

FINAS claims that its enforcement officers have taken proactive measures to monitor filming activities under the Special Filming Certificate (SPP Khas) to ensure that all production companies comply with the SOPs that have been set by the National Security Council (MKN) and are working alongside the Ministry of Health for further action.

FINAS reminds all Filming Protocol Supervisor (PPP) to carry out their responsibilities of ensuring all artists and crew adhere to the established guidelines in the logbook provided by them.

Finally, FINAS is fully prepared to work with the relevant authorities to resolve these issues and preserve the reputation of the creative industry. FINAS is committed to taking on a more aggressive approach to running and enforcing the SOPs.

FINAS welcomes the public to report it directly to them if they spot any SOP violations during filming. Complaints and inquiries can be directed to the Licensing and Enforcement Division at 03-41041300 or emailed to info@finas.my.
