Mia Lateefa, made a comeback with the release of her two brand new singles ‘Anima’ in Malay and ‘Anima Bella’ in English which was co-written and composed by Kayda Aziz alongside fellow composers from Deep Faith Entertainment – Salman Rijal, Christiana Chai, and Alwani Badaruddin.
Mia was known to sing at the age of fifteen by producing song covers with her circle of friends, and decided to take it to the next level by enrolling in professional vocal classes at the Suara Academy, which leads to her first single entitled ‘Hujung dunia’ and a recent release of ‘Nothing 2 Prove’.
Mia stated that “Anima and Anima Bella are both my coming-of-age songs, highlighting the more matured side of me while ditching that teenybop image.”
She further explained that one of the lines in Anima and Anima Bella – ‘Sei la Mia anima gemella’ translates to ‘Mia, you are my soul’, which is an Italian saying that is widely used by disloyal men as they keep on with their cruel game of love.
Initially, the music demo was rendered by music producer, Dua Dua, and Mia instantly fell in love with it.
The music videos (MV) which are launched together with the songs, Anima and Anima Bella come with an intriguing storyline filled with amazing choreography by a professional dancer.
According to Mdm. Lin Hussain, Director of Deep Faith Entertainment, “Anima and Anima Bella is significantly different from Mia’s first single ‘Hujung Dunia’. Both songs showcased her versatility in singing and talent in dancing, whilst bringing forward her fashion sense, together with her vibrant personality.
‘Anima’ and ‘Anima Bella’ are available on all major streaming platforms and as a caller ringtone from all major telecommunication service providers.
