AEON MARKS 40TH ANNIVERSARY WITH THE LAUNCH OF ‘SENYUM TOUR’ AND EXPANSION PLANS

Launching of 40th Anniversary

AEON CO (M) BHD announced its plans to open a new AEON outlet near the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC) by the end of 2025. Additionally, AEON CO (M) BHD’s Chief Operating Officer Naoya Okada revealed that the company will soon launch another AEON store at Setia City Mall, Shah Alam, next month. Okada affirmed the company’s commitment to further expand its operations, which includes comprehensive renovations of three existing AEON stores.

Presently, AEON boasts a network of 28 malls, 34 stores, seven MaxValu outlets, 64 AEON Wellness centers, and 45 DAISO outlets nationwide. Okada expressed optimism for business expansion in 2024, targeting new customer segments, particularly the younger demographic, despite cost pressures.

In tandem with its growth initiatives, AEON launched the Senyum Tour program, scheduled to commence on April 27, 2024, at AEON Mall Bukit Tinggi and conclude in September at AEON Mall Shah Alam. During the tour, customers can anticipate special discounts, exclusive redemptions, happy hour deals, and the revival of iconic products.

Notably, the Malaysia AEON Foundation donated RM20,000 each to four organizations , Persatuan Kebajikan Amal Ji An Malaysia, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim & OKU Mesra, Rumah Kebajikan & Anak Yatim Darul Najjah, and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Ihsan Negeri Sembilan. The launch event witnessed a series of engaging activities that brought together the community of Wangsa Maju, including a Zumba session, the Go Green Agroz Tour – an indoor vertical farm in AEON Alpha Angle and a balloon drop ceremony where the grand prize winner walked away with two Universal Studios Beijing entry tickets.
