KPDN LAUNCHES FIM2023 DURING FRANCHISE WALKABOUT

YBhg Datuk Azman Mohd Yusof, Secretary General of the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDN) conducted a Franchise Walkabout session at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya. During the session, he also officiated the launching ceremony of Franchise International Malaysia 2023 (FIM2023) jointly organized by KPDN and the Malaysian Franchise Association (MFA).

FIM2023 will take place from 18 to 20 May 2023 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) to provide exposure and business opportunities to visitors who are keen on becoming franchise entrepreneurs.

On behalf of the Minister of KPDN, YBhg Datuk KSU said that over 90 exhibition spaces will be occupied by franchises and organizations that have contributed to the franchise ecosystem. 18 brands from South Korea, Singapore, Japan, United States and Australia will participate.

He said, “The Ministry and MFA urge local and international franchise operators to take this opportunity to join FIM2023. For some operators, FIM is the starting point for them to expand their franchises to a whole new level.”

The organization of the 30th FIM is fully supported and recognized by international franchise bodies namely the World Franchise Council (WFC), the Asia Pacific Franchise Confederation (APFC) and the Malaysian Foreign Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE).

Meanwhile, this program also received sponsorship from various parties including the National Corporation (Pernas), Ayam Penyet Bagus Sdn Bhd (Best Penyet Chicken), Kopitiam Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd (Oldtown White Coffee), PMA Rich (M) Sdn Bhd, Brickforest Sdn Bhd (Myeongdong Topokki) and Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation (Korea Agro).

At the Franchise Walkabout, YBhg Datuk KSU socialized with seven franchise brands at IOI City Mall, namely Seoul Garden, Oldtown White Coffee, Tealive, Asam Pedas Premier, JM Bariani and CheeseU outlet.
