Several noble business owners have come together to raise funds to provide food supplies to about 2,000 families in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur who are struggling to make ends meet because of the EMCO. Through this initiative, each struggling family will be provided with packets of – 5kg rice, 1kg cooking oil, 1kg flour, 1kg sugar, and a 500 ml bottle of water.
This project is a CSR effort organized by YS Medicals, MY Consultancy Surveyor & Project Management Sdn Bhd, Snips College of Creative Arts (SCCA), and Snips Salon, in support of ASEAN Retail-Chains & Franchise Federation (ARFF) and the SME Association of Malaysia.
Datuk Michael Kang Hua Keong, National President of the SME Association of Malaysia, said, “Many people are suffering as a result of the prolonged lockdowns and MCOs. The damage to the economy is catastrophic, and the people are facing hardship far beyond what most people can perceive. Providing them with basic food essentials will help them sustain for a little longer.”
