Sharifah Zamaera Al Edros Syed Zafilen, famously known as Zamaera, had returned to the big stage after being on hiatus for two years straight. On 7 January 2022, Zamaera came in hot with her first album, “Heart Break To Heal” Mixtape. The album contained 11 tracks in total, featuring six English songs, four Malay songs, and an ‘Interlude’; the album comes in the form of a USB stick that resembles a classic cassette tape.
The “Heart Break To Heal” Mixtape was based on Zamaera’s love journey, loss, healing, and re-discovery, as she took eight months to perfect her mixtape while crafting the music in her true style with Mass Music Studios alongside producer Ming-A-Ling.
With the advanced digital world, Zamaera believes that this would be the perfect advantage for her to create her masterpiece as many beats and talents could be obtained through this online marketplace especially those which are produced by renowned music-makers from all around the world called ‘Beatstars’.
Zamaera also stated, “But seeing that we were in the middle of a pandemic, the best way for me at that time was to search for stuff online. 9 out of the 11 songs from the Mixtape were produced by LouXtwo, which I later found out that he has produced for the likes of Chris Brown, Bad Bunny, Tory Lanez, Russ & Wale, just to name a few.”
With the spirit of being the best in the industry, Zamaera said, “Being more mature and experienced, I don’t have that sense of competitiveness anymore because every woman that I meet instantly becomes a sister, a teacher, or a confidant because it’s the realization that all women have gone through the process of heartbreak and healing, or are currently going through it.”
